Permission was given for Shabano (GER) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final ½ furlong involving the winner, Liangel Hope (IRE), ridden by Mollie Phillips, Nine Dragons (IRE), placed second, ridden by James Doyle and Codify (IRE), placed third, ridden by John Fahy.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Nine Dragons (IRE)’s placing as Doyle allowed his mount to hang right away from the whip without timely correction, intimidating Liangel Hope (IRE) off its intended line which in turn gave a bump and moved Codify (IRE) significantly off its intended line which as a consequence cost Codify (IRE) ground and momentum, whereby Codify (IRE) made rapid headway to be beaten a short head at the line.
The Stewards revised the placings as follows: Second: Codify (IRE), Third: Nine Dragons (IRE).
Doyle was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to hang right-handed without sufficient and timely correction causing interference to Liangel Hope (IRE) and Codify (IRE).
