Permission was given for Platitude (GB) to go early to post and to wear a hood in the parade ring only.

Having reviewed the start of this race, the Stewards were satisfied that the starting procedures had been carried out correctly.

Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that Platitude (GB) had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately half a furlong out between the winner, Weekender (GB), ridden by Robert Havlin and KING’S ADVICE, placed second, ridden by Joe Fanning.

The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Weekender (GB)’S placing as the winner always seemed to have the measure of KING’s ADVICE and the contact was minimal and appeared to have little effect on the second placed horse.

The interference was found to be accidental as the winner edged right-handed despite the rider’s best efforts.
