Approximately two furlongs out, Machios (GB), placed fourth, shifted quickly left-handed, moving Her Indoors (IRE), unplaced, off her intended racing line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Machios (GB).
Following the race, William Cox reported that Machios (GB), placed fourth, ran too freely in the early stages of the race and also ran green, Tom Marquand reported that Red Missile (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away, Hector Crouch reported that Her Indoors (IRE), unplaced, was also slowly away and was unruly in the stalls.
