Formscan By Alan Magee - HIGHER KINGDOM has won three times over course and distance for current connections including when dropping right down to a career low rating on his penultimate start. The selection, who was racing off a mark of 80 just over a year ago, was subsequently far from disgraced despite a tardy start after getting upset in the stalls. Cousin Shay also scored on his second last outing over course and distance, while L’Immortale ran a cracker when only giving best in the closing stages behind Trishuli River over an extended 1m2f in November. Aljadel won twice on the all-weather for Richard Hughes and has dropped down to an attractive mark after four outings for current connections in recent months.

Resolute in the finish. We were just waiting for him to land one. He's a very good horse, a very genuine horse. He was going to win one eventually, he always runs his race. He might be a little bit better on the turf with a tiny bit of a dig in the ground, but we're very happy to be able to pick up one with him. They are great owners and are delighted. We had a nice bit of fun with them throughout the year - he was second in Galway and ran a few nice races. A nice, consistent horse and a great, fun horse to have. We'll see whether we give him a break or whether we will run him once more up here, but we'll aim for the turf again with him.

Gary's a good judge of pace and the horse has obviously come down a lot in the handicap. He's a funny old horse - he's by Kingman and he has his own thoughts on the game, but he owes us nothing. He has been a great servant for us. Delighted for Seamus (Devlin), big supporter of the yard and he has been very patient with him. He was running into a bit of form based on his last run and even his run before that in Navan was a pretty decent run. It would be nice if he could back it up, but today was the day.

Since we got him, he has been in good form for us. He has been loving life and Christine rides him out every day - she gets a good tune out of him. He's very happy at home and we thought if he did transfer the homework to the track at all, he would be coming here with a little chance. Hopefully, he could build upon that. He stayed on towards the line well and Wayne thought he got the best out of him in the last furlong. He thought maybe stepping him up in trip maybe could help. We will try maybe over the mile again in the same company back here. Then we can try him over a mile-and-two as Wayne suggested. We've had him since September.

The superscript number on headgear bl2 indicates number of times worn. A plus bl+ indicates more than 10 times where as red background bl1indicates first time.
