Condon has an 87/1 Down Royal double
Following on from Table Forty Six s success in the opener, Ken Condon completed an 87/1 double (his first winners in over 6 months) when Marvada overcame a bump a furlong and a half out to land the seven furlong three-year-old maiden under Shane Gray.
Marvada got on top near the finish to nail the favourite Brazilian Breeze who had looked sure to score.
Condon said: "She's been second the last twice and she'd been showing good form. You could say it was a matter of time before she won but she was stepping-up in trip there and there were some fancied horses in the race.
"She got the seven furlongs well and Shane knows her well. She's improving and she's entered at Tipperary next week. Hopefully she'll improve enough to get some black-type."
