After race at Dundalk Fri, 9th Dec, 2022 (1st)
He was entitled to run well but it was very competitive. He always runs well but is probably at the top of his game at the moment. It was a very hot race and it's a good result for us. I thought he was a bit lost in the middle of it but he picked up and to be fair he won well at the line. He went close over a mile the last time but Wayne Lordan was telling us all along that six furlongs was his best trip. The pace suited today as when they were coming back he was picking up. He'll go up a couple of pounds for that but at least he's competing in those high level races, that's where we want him and it's a bit of a change for us from 47-65 races!

He was very impressive to be fair to him,. He was double entered and this looked a handy enough one, no disrespect to any of the other horses, compared to the race he was in the first day. He did it easy the last day, and got a good hike. You'd be fearful coming back four days after his last run but he was that well in himself, even down in the stable yard today he was on the ball again. He seemed to do it nicely again there. If this had been a couple of races earlier we'd have been heading to the good race in the Curragh, the Scurry. We're delighted with that and he just seems to get better as he goes on. Luke gave him a class ride. The lad that does all the work at home Gavin Cosgrove deserves a lot of credit because he's directing me in a lot of ways as he's worked in a lot of good yards.

He ran very well the last time he was here to finish fifth in a better race,. We thought he wanted seven or a mile judging on his previous form but our system seems to bring them back in trip, the way we work them at home. On Wayne's advice we dropped him back and to be fair he ground it out well there today. He wasn't a lucky winner, he just won well. Hopefully we can get another day with him. This is only a part time job and we are in it for the fun. This is a bonus considering what you are competing against in the racing game. It was a nice pot. Wayne came up for one ride today so he must have been confident enough about getting something.

he was off the bridle early and I thought we were in bother but Ronan said he kept picking up and he saw it out well. He said if we step him up to a mile that he might be more comfortable. I thought we would get a race out of him on the turf but things just didn’t work out great. Myself and Ronan have been tricking together for a good while but that’s the first winner he’s had with me.
