Well backed Stack newcomer wins opener
Accepted justified plenty market confidence (10/1 in the morning into 13/2) to win the opening Dubai Duty Free FullOfSurprises EBF Maiden at the Curragh today, scoring for trainer Tommy Stack, jockey Wayne Lordan and in the colours of the trainer's son and assistant James 'Fozzy' Stack. After race at Tipperary Sat, 12th Jul, 2014 (1st)
he had to race on the worst of the ground the whole way today and did well to win. We didn't want to make the running at the Curragh (when winning on debut) as he's a big, raw horse but he does have loads of pace. We'll aim him at the Gimcrack Stakes next.

After race at Curragh Sat, 28th Jun, 2014 (1st)
he's a nice horse and has always worked well. It didn't work out ideal when he nearly hit the gates too well and was a little keen early on and Wayne (Lordan) said he was looking at the crowd. He is the kind of horse when you show him something once, he is better the second time. He's very relaxed at home even though he didn't show that today and while he has an entry for the National Stakes, has a few bridges to cross before that and could come back here for the Anglesey Stakes.
