Accepted justified plenty market confidence (10/1 in the morning into 13/2) to win the opening Dubai Duty Free FullOfSurprises EBF Maiden at the Curragh today, scoring for trainer Tommy Stack, jockey Wayne Lordan and in the colours of the trainer's son and assistant James 'Fozzy' Stack.
Accepted flashed past the post almost alongside 11/10 favourite Cape Clear Island with the judge later calling the Stack trained runner the short head winner.
Afterwards Fozzy Stack stated “he's a nice horse and has always worked well.
“It didn't work out ideal when he nearly hit the gates too well and was a little keen early on and Wayne (Lordan) said he was looking at the crowd. He is the kind of horse when you show him something once, he is better the second time.
“He's very relaxed at home even though he didn't show that today and while he has an entry for the National Stakes, has a few bridges to cross before that and could come back here for the Anglesey Stakes.”
