Following the race, Jeremiah McGrath reported that Like The Sound (FR), which was pulled up before the thirteenth fence, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Emma Lavelle reported that Buster Thomas (IRE), which started second-favourite and was pulled up before the fourth last fence, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Soft, Heavy in places on this occasion and would prefer less testing conditions; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Henry Daly reported that Head To The Stars (GB), which was pulled up before the third last fence, made a respiratory noise and the Veterinary Officer reported that As You Like (IRE), which was pulled up before the fourth last fence, lost its right-fore shoe.
