He is a fair horse, I'd say he is a good horse because I only have him a month and I thought for one of mine he looked fat. I bet he'll be alright and I'd say he's a horse who is going to do plenty and definitely be okay. Alan Harte, his owner from London, sent him to me a month ago and I think he was big and backward and never got to run in a point to point. The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Hamilton, rider of Spike Alen, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) in that he had used his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays
