Van Gerwen (GB), unplaced, jumped left-handed leaving the stalls, crowding Real Estate (IRE), unplaced, onto the winner, The Establishment (GB), which had to be checked and in turn caused Independence Day (IRE), unplaced, to be inconvenienced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Joe Fanning reported that Van Gerwen (GB), unplaced, moved poorly in the home straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Oisin Murphy reported that Aguerooo (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run in the home straight.
