At the request of the Integrity Department of the British Horseracing Authority, the performance of Grey Mist (GB), which finished unplaced and was dismounted after the line, was considered.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the gelding finished lame on its left and right fore.
Trainer, Karen McLintock, and rider Sean Davis, were interviewed by phone.
Their explanations were noted and the information will be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Angus Villiers, the rider of the winner, Noble Behest (GB), was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from 1¼ furlongs out.
When the pace steadied rounding the first bend, Doctor Jazz (IRE), placed fourth, had to be checked off the heels of Grey Mist (GB), unplaced, causing Rubenesque (IRE), placed seventh, which was following, to be hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Doctor Jazz (IRE).
Following the race, Toby Eley reported that Rubenesque (IRE), placed seventh, was slowly away and Grace McEntee reported that Battle Of Marathon (USA), placed second, hung badly right-handed.
