The Stewards interviewed S. Fitzgerald, rider of All The Chimneys, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Fitzgerald was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 4 racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Golden Jewel, trained by Edward Cawley, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (123 = 11st 10lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 10lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
