The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Hussle Up, ridden by Katie O'Farrell, placed fourth, Miss Echrad, ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan, placed second and Chosen Flower, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed fifth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings but found J.P. O'Sullivan to be in breach of Rule 214 by riding improperly and having taken his record in this regard into account suspended him for four race days

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Miss Echrad, weighed-in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had accumulated a significant amount of mud on himself during the race and that this accounted for the overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards gave the rider the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action

The Stewards interviewed J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Miss Echrad, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10.4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having taken his previous record in this regard into account cautioned the rider

D.G. Hogan, rider of Neatly Put (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last and emptied.
