The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ayr Of Elegance (GB), placed first, as compared with its previous run. Alan Coady, Authorised Representative of Henry de Bromhead, reported that his charge was stepped up in trip on her last run and she did not stay. Ayr of Elegance was dropped back to a more suitable distance today which brought about an improvement in form

Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

A novice hurdle for four years old and upwards mares only which at entry are rated 100 or less (also open to horses which at entry are rated 101-110)
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 4lbs ;5-y-o and up 10st 11lbs ;Mares that have not run three times over ;hurdles and/or do not have a published ;handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at ;the discretion of the handicapper provided ;their performances are rated 110 or less ;
Penalties - Performances before 18th July - for every 1lb above the rating of 100 1lb extra On or after 18th July - for each hurdle race won 4lb extra
