Permission was given for Dark Side Prince (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only and for Jorvik Prince (GB) to go early to post.
Leaving the stalls, Katherine Place (GB), placed fourth, jumped right-handed causing Aguerooo (IRE), placed second, to be steadied and lose its early position, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Joey Haynes reported that Chocco Star (IRE), placed sixth, jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.
