Permission was given for Lady Bergamot (FR) to be mounted on the chute.
Turning into the home straight Lord Halifax (IRE), unplaced, edged right carrying Lady Bergamot (FR), placed second, off its intended line onto Desert Friend (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Lady Bergamot (FR), placed second, ridden by Jack Mitchell, interfered with Desert Friend (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by David Probert.
Mitchell was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to edge right without timely correction causing Probert to take a slight check.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Lord Halifax (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed throughout.
