I'm delighted with that. She picked up a lot of cheques last year as she was placed a lot. I was wondering was she ever going to get her head in front. She was working well, but I was a bit concerned about her being ready as she was heavier on the scales, but she's more of a mare this year rather than a filly. She's by Saddlers Wells so she'll make a nice broodmare. We'll have to try and get some Blacktype as it would make her very valuable. Her attitude might get her there and we'll see what rating she gets. She doesn't have the toe for a mile and a quarter as she has got older. She wants between a mile and a half and two miles. An extended handicap for four yrs old and upwards (90 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won Any horse rated above 90 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 90 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four year old rated above 90 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
