The Stewards interviewed R.P. Treacy, rider of Neverushacon, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he used the whip with his arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, suspended him for three race days. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Jack The Wire, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be slightly lame post race. D.N. Russell, rider of Noche de Reyes (FR) trained by Tom George (in GB), reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stumbled after the last. M.A. Enright, rider of Gentleman Duke trained by A.L.T.Moore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount suffered interference. D.G. Hogan, rider of Jack The Wire trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly and never travelled.
