Permission was given for Roger Rarebit (GB) to wear a hood in the parade ring.
At the first fence, Nine Nine Nine (GB), placed second, jumped slightly right-handed, making contact with Iron Horse (GB), unplaced, and taking the gelding across the running of Kankin (GB), unplaced, causing Kankin (GB) to be badly hampered when it jumped into the back of Iron Horse (GB), which also resulted in Iron Horse (GB) being inconvenienced.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Nine Nine Nine (GB).
Following the race, Theo Gillard reported that Haveanothergoflo (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding was found to have an irregular heartbeat post-race.
Kielan Woods reported that Kankin (GB), unplaced, suffered interference at the first fence.
