Liam Burke's Oscar Rebel was making a massive step up in class here but she handled it in tremendous style by drawing a cosy nine-lengths clear of her closest rival. Mid division throughout the six-year-old daughter of Oscar cruised into contention on the approach to the second last where her every move was covered by Shirley Casper.<p>However Edward O'Grady's Shirley Casper was unable to match the turn of foot of the winner. In saying that it was a very encouraging performance by the former top bumper mare who was making her first racecourse appearance in 333 days.

She will no doubt come on from that and may be capable of running this winner closer at the similar contest at the Punchestown festival should they both head that way.

Favourite Brave Betsy was a faller at the last with a circuit to go while leading fancy at the off was Give It Time and she was reported to be in season post race by trainer Jessica Harrington. Bohemian Lass was another to show a good improvement in previous form by staying on to be third while My Valley plugged away to be fourth. The latter may be seen at her best later in the summer on similar ground.
