Permission was given for Wether Fell (GB) to be led to post early and be mounted in the chute.
Mutanaaseq (IRE), trained by Ruth Carr, ran without its left-hind shoe, which had come adrift in the Parade Ring and was unable to be refitted, as the trainer had not indicated at declaration stage that the gelding should be withdrawn in the event of losing a shoe on the way to post.
Mr Orange (IRE), drawn 10, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Following the race, Callum Rodriguez reported that Vardon Flyer (GB), placed eighth, moved poorly throughout and James Sullivan reported that Mutanaaseq (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
