Permission was given for Young Tiger (GB) and Diamond Memories (GB) to both go early to post; for The Tron (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 2 furlongs out involving Ustath (GB), placed second, ridden by Jason Hart and Big Impact (GB), unplaced, ridden by Cieren Fallon.
Hart was cautioned for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting right-handed when not fully clear of Big Impact (GB) causing Fallon to take a precautionary check.
The winner Birdie Bowers (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 3rd August 2022, where the gelding finished sixth of twelve runners beaten 5 ¼ lengths.
The Stewards noted the explanation given David Thompson that the gelding was suited by a drop back in trip to 5 furlongs.
Birdie Bowers was routine tested.
