Mcfabulous (IRE) made contact with the running rail in the chute and unseated Lorcan Williams.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and Doctor at the start, both the rider and the gelding were deemed fit to race.
Jumping the last fence, the winner, Hewick (IRE), jumped right-handed despite the rider’s best efforts, giving a brush to First Flow (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Hewick (IRE).
The performance of Solo (FR), which started second favourite and was pulled up, was considered.

Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Mcfabulous (IRE), which was pulled up, was found to have an irregular heartbeat and First Flow (IRE), placed second, lost its left-fore shoe.
