Approximately 1 furlong out, Winnetka (IRE), placed eighth, lugged quickly right-handed as its rider was pulling her whip through to correct the gelding, which resulted in the weakening Sea Storm (GB), unplaced, having to be checked but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Winnetka (IRE).
Approaching ½ a furlong out, Far From A Ruby (GB), placed second, edged right-handed away from Confrontational (IRE), placed sixth, causing Gold Coast (IRE), placed fourth, to be briefly hampered but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Far From A Ruby (GB).
Following the race, Laura Pearson reported that Gold Coast (IRE) hung left in the straight and Charlie Bennett reported that Bravo Faisal (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing of Sea Storm (GB), revealed the mare had lost its left hind shoe.
