Permission was given for both Charlie Fellowes (IRE) and Caroline Dale (GB) to wear red hoods to post.
The Raceday privilege request in relation to Caroline Dale (GB), trained by David Loughnane, was late being submitted.
Loughnane was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
Caroline Dale (GB) reared behind the stalls, unseating Cameron Noble.
Having been checked by the Doctor, the rider was deemed fit to race.
Following the race, William Cox reported that Glamorous Anna (GB), unplaced, hung both ways and Cameron Noble reported that Caroline Dale (GB), unplaced, lost its action; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities other than Caroline Dale (GB) had lost its right-fore shoe.
Kieran Schofield, the rider of Cuban Breeze (GB), placed sixth, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Schofield was suspended for 1 day for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse which could have finished fifth, for which it was beaten by a short-head margin.
