Permission was given for Kaizer (GB) to go to post early.
An enquiry was held post-race with Tom Lacey, trainer of the winner Sebastopol (IRE), to explain why no official report was made to the BHA after the gelding ran at Huntingdon last time, despite it being reported in the Press and on the Trainer’s blog that the gelding had a breathing problem.
Having heard his explanation, Lacey was fined £650 as he had failed to make an official report and the gelding had subsequently been dropped 1lb by the Handicapper since its Huntingdon run.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that L'inganno Felice (FR), unplaced, lost its left hind shoe.
Henry Brooke reported that Seaborough (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
