Approaching the 4 furlong marker, a free-running Gabrial The Devil (IRE), placed fourth, ran onto the heels of Came From The Dark (IRE), placed seventh, causing that colt to briefly lose its action, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Gabrial The Devil (IRE).
The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that a post-race examination of Came From The Dark (IRE), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Jack Garritty reported that Powerallied (IRE), placed eighth, hung left-handed.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Fantasy Keeper (GB), which started second favourite and finished second, lost its left fore shoe.
