Dr Kananga (GB) wore ear plugs.
On the bend exiting the back straight, the winner, I See You Well (FR), rolled into the bend bumping Go Whatever (IRE), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of I See You Well (FR).
The performance of Dr Kananga (GB), which started favourite and finished placed fifth, was considered.
Ben Clarke could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
Dr Kananga (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Jamie Moore reported that Eragon De Chanay (FR), which was pulled up, made a mistake at the first fence in the back straight and Suzy Smith's representative reported that Clondaw Bisto (IRE), which was pulled up, scoped dirty post-race.
