Permission was given for Starsong (IRE) to go early to post.
Confederation (GB) ran the previous day at Lingfield, finishing second of six runners.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final half furlong when Jacquelina (IRE), placed second, ridden by Josephine Gordon interfered with The Tron (GB), placed third, ridden by Joanna Mason, beaten a short head.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Jacquelina (IRE)’s placing as The Tron (GB) was only carried marginally off its intended line and lost no momentum as a result.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The interference was found to be accidental as Jacquelina (IRE) lugged left-handed, before being quickly corrected by Gordon.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Wedgewood (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed and Josephine Gordon reported that Jacquelina (IRE), placed second, hung both ways.
