English raider ELECTRIC WARRIOR landed the spoils here, keeping on well for pressure.

Twice a winner on a similar surface at Kempton he has been in good form of late and stuck to his task well after hitting the lead under two furlongs out.

Karl Burke's charge had attracted support in the morning (5/1 to 7/2) and was again popular on course (3/1 to 5/2f).

Baynes Cross kept him honest in the final furlong and stayed on well close home to press the winner. He was also placed at the last meeting here and should be winning before long.

Essexford was ridden to go third a furlong out but could never get on terms with the leaders and kept on the same pace in the final furlong.

Royal Island made headway to fifth a furlong-and-a-half out but flattened out in fourth from a furlong out and couldn't make any more inroads.

Quinmaster was prominent throughout but had no more to offer from over a furlong out.

An Tadh disputed with Quinmaster and led them into the straight. He dropped away tamely over a furlong out.

The non-runners were Monteriggioni (nasal discharge) and Mombassa (stone bruise).
