Permission was given for Kodiac Express (IRE) to go early to post.
Elizabeth Bennet (IRE), trained by Robert Cowell, was late in the Parade Ring due to the trainer having difficulty saddling the filly and Elizabeth Bennet (IRE) then proving reluctant to enter the Parade Ring.
An enquiry was held into the start and the possible withdrawal of Kodiac Express (IRE), ridden by Gabriele Malune.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
It was found that Kodiac Express (IRE) was deemed not to have started as the filly had been unruly in the stalls and reared over as the start was effected, resulting in the rider not being mounted and therefore Kodiac Express (IRE) was withdrawn.
The Starter reported that Kodiac Express (IRE) was unruly in the stalls.
Mike Murphy was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Following the race, David Egan reported that Gnaad (IRE), which started joint-second favourite and finished second, stumbled over the road crossing and David Probert reported that Delagate This Lord (GB), which started joint-second favourite and finished third, was momentarily short of room approaching the final furlong.
