Andrew McNamara rode a double at Thurles, culminating in Diamond Dame s game success in the Holycross Handicap Hurdle.

Travelling the best at the top of the straight, Shark Hanlon 's 6-4 favourite had a clear lead at the last but was all out to fend off the fast-finishing Flemerelle by a head.

McNamara had earlier guided Mrs Mac Veale to victory, as she battled on well to land the Ballagh Mares Handicap Hurdle.< Cloudy Rock put up a brave effort from the front but jumped violently right at the last two flights, allowing Robert Murphy's 16-1 chance through to score by a length and a half.< The Doorman strolled to victory in an incident-packed Thurles Beginners Chase.

With a number of their rivals falling or making mistakes, Mouse Morris' 11-1 winner was clear in front with Company Coming

Mark Walsh eased his mount into a clear lead after the third last and he came home in his own time to score by eight lengths.< Couleur France was not hard pressed to land the Thurles.ie Maiden Hurdle.

Noel Meade's 11-10 favourite had finished second in what now looks a very hot Fairyhouse contest last time and coasted from the rear to lead between the last two flights, before going clear under Paul Carberry to beat Marvellous Moment by four and three-quarter lengths.< Embracing Change ran out a convincing winner of the Thurles Handicap Chase.

David Casey allowed himself to take a long look behind when hitting the front four out and never looked back after that, coaxing the 5-2 favourite to and easy two-and-a-half-length win over Federici < Mandasini showed a willing attitude to get the better of Silver Sally in the Templemore Mares Maiden Hurdle.

Andrew Lynch pushed the Vincent Halley-trained 12-1 shot into the lead at the top of the home straight, but the pair had to pull out all the stops to get the better of the argument by a length.
