Noel Meade and Paddy Flood were the team to follow at an almost fog-bound Fairyhouse as they mopped up with a 21-1 treble.

It was a memorable day for Meade who also bagged the 'Fighting Fifth' Hurdle at Newcastle with Go Native.< Cross Appeal Donnas Palm and Parsons Pistol all obliged for the County Meath trainer.

Cross Appeal (6-4 favourite) struck first by beating Action Master by three-quarters of a length in the Winter Festival 3-Y-O Hurdle.

"He's very big for a three-year-old so he should improve. We will run him at Leopardstown over Christmas and then go back there for the Grade One at the end of January," said Meade.

Donnas Palm (evens joint favourite) outpointed his only serious rival Mourad by three lengths n the Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists Hurdle.

"There's not a whole lot between this lad and my other Grade One horses. We just sneaked this lad into the race today on prize money," said Meade.

Parsons Pistol (7-2) made it three with a length call over O'Muircheartaigh in the Bar One Racing Handicap Chase.

"I think he's an English National horse, he's entered in the Welsh National and he'll probably spend of most his time running in those long-distance handicaps in England," said Meade.

Trainer Willie Mullins was full of praise for Katie Walsh after she had steered Thousand Stars to victory in the Bar One Racing Handicap Hurdle.

Walsh produced the 7-2 favourite with a well-timed challenge to lead before the last and defeat the Meade-trained Arch Rebel by one and a half lengths.

"We'll aim him for the Pierse Hurdle. Katie gave him a brilliant ride and she's very valuable for her weight," said Mullins.< Tornedo Shay (7-4) followed up a recent Galway win in the Irish Racing Yearbook (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race by nine lengths under Roger Quinlan.
