Fran Berry was in tip-top form when riding a terrific four-timer on Snaefell Corcovada Silverhand and Pax Soprana at the Curragh.

He began by bringing sprinter Snaefell (8-1) from last to first to claim the Irish Daily Mirror Renaissance Stakes.

Berry weaved his way through on Michael Halford's grey to collar Girouette inside the final furlong to score by two and half lengths.

"He deserved his day, he has been a great servant to us all year. The pace of the race really suited him," said Halford.

"There is not a lot left for him pattern wise, there is the Joe McGrath Handicap here in few weeks' time.

"We will see how he comes out of the race, it would be a very big ask of him."

It was a similar story on Eddie Harty's Corcovada (6-1) in the Flame Of Tara EBF Stakes as the youngster came from the rear early on to pip Sense Of Purpose by a short head in a driving finish.

"That was the plan and it's great she got her black type now," said Harty.

Berry hit the front over a furlong out on Silverhand (6-1) as Noel Meade's charge beat Essex by a length and a half in the Irish Stalllion Farms EBF September Handicap.

Meade said: "The handicapper put in him at 90 after he won at Tramore and we thought that was bit high. He was in the English Cesarewitch but they didn't handicap him which might have been a pity. He seems better on the flat than he is over jumps."

British raider Border Patrol (3-1) made it four on the bounce this season as he foiled Poet by a neck under Kevin Manning in the Solonaway Stakes.

"We're delighted, we've always liked him and he's progressed well. I think he'll make a Group One horse in due course," said trainer Roger Charlton.

"The Lockinge is a serious target for us next year. We could go to Longchamp Arc weekend next. Kevin said he was very happy with him and that he got there a little bit too soon and he idled in front."

Berry made it four when getting up on the line to dead-heat on the Harty-trained Pax Soprana (8-1) with Pat Flyinn's Final Flashback (6-1) in the Anglesey Lodge E
