The PFH Technology Group Handicap looked a devilishly difficult puzzle beforehand but Harley’s Harley turned the seven-furlong event into a rout by storming home under Fran Berry.

The Cockney Rebel filly was raised 7lb for a victory over the same trip at Tipperary last month but the handicapper is sure to take a dim view of this performance and trainer Arthur Moore is already thinking of some black type for the four-year-old.

She was given a patient ride by Berry, only leading inside the final furlong, but such was the turn of foot she showed in the closing stages that she had nearly four lengths to spare over Talitha Kum at the line. Fiosrach was a further head back in third.

Moore said, “Everything went wrong for her last year but she has a great attitude and great heart. She likes a bit of juice in the ground.

“This win will probably put her into the premier handicap grade now and, as her dam is a half-sister to the dam of Kingston Hill, she would be valuable if we can get her some black type.”
