Tout Est Permis made a winning debut for his new trainer Noel Meade at Galway today as the Gigginstown House Stud owned runner defied top weight to win the Marlin Hotels Group Handicap Chase and complete a double for jockey Sean Flanagan.
The grey son of Linda's Lad raced prominently throughout, went clear of his rivals early on the run-in and eventually scored a six lengths success over Don't Kick Nor Bite.
Afterwards Meade stated “he was doing everything right at home and we were very happy coming with him.
“I actually had him in a hurdle race today but Eddie said 'no, no, no - he's a better horse over fences' and he jumped brilliantly today.
“He won a good novice for Mouse (Morris) last year but just went downhill on him after that; it can happen and could happen us too but he was good today.
“It wasn't the greatest race in the world and I'd imagine his next run will probably be in the Troytown Chase but we'll see what the handicapper does to him.”
Jockey Flanagan had earlier steered 20/1 chance Western Victory to win the opener.
Tout Est Permis translates to 'everything is allowed' in French.
