He's lazy and it was totally an inadequate trip for him,. We had him in Chester at the weekend, but the ground went against him for that Listed race. We threw him into this race when it was small entries, it was a bit of an afterthought. The conditions suited, but we knew it was a bit short. Adam got after him early doors and he gave him a good ride. He just got there and it's great for the lads, he's been a great money-spinner for them. He wasn't a cheap horse when we bought him, but the fun they've got out of him has been unreal. That's his third win of the year and he had a very good run the last day at Dundalk carrying a lot of weight. He'll probably go back for the Diamond Stakes there in two weeks time. We might give him a break after that. We've threatened to run him over hurdles a couple of times - we pulled him out at Down Royal because of the ground, but at some stage he will make another appearance over hurdles. He'll want nice autumn or spring ground.

he has been a great horse, the lads have had a lot of fun with him. We had made entries for him next week but that win might stop us running him, as he'll get a 7lb penalty. A win is a win though and we're delighted. Adam gave him a good ride and while I thought we were in trouble early on, he would prefer further, although in the past had been placed in Lincolns and Galway Miles. He isn't slow-slow but is a typical Sea The Stars being a late developer. He is a high-class fun horse and is well handicapped over hurdles so will probably see a hurdle again before the year is out.

That's brilliant, this horse deserves it as he's been very consistent over his last few runs. He was fourth in a €50,000 handicap the last time and the lads have been very lucky, they've been with me since I started. They are a great bunch of lads. He wasn't a cheap horse and I always said he'd win a big race so it's great to get one. He's been very consistent, he won a good one last year in the Racing League as well. He's a great horse. We were to go to Yarmouth for the Racing League but that could actually put him out of the ratings now. If he doesn't go there he could go for the mile-and-a-half in Galway. He's run well in Galway before, he's a Sea The Stars and stays well. It's great to have a horse like him, he's won plenty of money for them. The lads have had a great time with him. They are a great bunch of lads and they all re-invest every couple of years and they always come across a nice horse. I have to thank my staff as well and Adam, who is seriously good value for his claim. I'd like to dedicate this win to my brother who is very ill in St Francis Hospice and doesn't have long left. It will be a great tonic for him.

It was a top class ride by a top class jockey. He is entered in the Galway Mile but three-year-olds don't have a great record in it and he’s in at the Curragh on Sunday as well over 1m2f. However I'm not inclined to run him back quick, unless the handicapper slaughters him, and he might go straight to Galway. I'd say he just didn't stay the last day at Down Royal and we put the visor on him to sharpen him up as he is very laid-back and lazy at home. That's the way he is but he has loads of ability and is a smashing horse and I think he'll improve again. I think he'll go places.

After race at Navan Sun, 30th May, 2021 (1st)
We put blinkers on him last time (fifth at Sligo) but he missed the break and got caught in behind. He has a lot of ability and he wasn't a cheap colt. We have castrated him as he was a bit of a boyo and wasn't giving us everything. We did feel he had a lot of ability and I said I'd run him in this even though we were a couple of pounds out of the handicap as he'd have a light weight on his back. To be honest the plan was to sit in a little but 'Chesney' said he just jumped so well and he decided to let him stride on. He put it to bed fairly quickly. He'll be nice for a mile-and-a-half handicap at Galway or as regards closer plans I was talking about the Ulster Derby. I think he will stay a mile-and-a-half and I'd say that's where he'll go next. This was a nice pot to pick up on the way. We were a couple of pounds out so the handicapper will hit us high enough that we'll get into one of those races. It's nice to have a horse like him to look forward to.
