Monumental (11/8) made it third-time-lucky today as the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt landed Gowran's Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) Maiden under jockey Wayne Lordan. Tue 03rd SepIdes Of March impresses with emphasis on speed
Race two mirrored race one at the Curragh with the Revamp Conservation And Restoration Irish EBF Maiden again seeing Ballydoyle dominate with the first two home. Again a short-priced favourite in the hands of Ryan Moore took top honours, Ides Of March leading the big field of sprinters home at odds of even money. Sat 10th Aug
After race at Gowran Park Tue, 3rd Sep, 2024 (1st)
he did it nicely from the draw (wide in 9) and Wayne gave him a lovely ride and tracked the pace. He’d a good run the last day at the Curragh and the form has worked out well. Wayne thought that seven furlongs trip suits him well as he has plenty of pace and can travel off a good speed. He’s got a host of options now and is definitely a Stakes horse in the making. Maybe something like the Flying Scotsman at Doncaster or he could wait for the Legacy at Dundalk.
