What do you say, it's brilliant. He went hard and I have to say I was praying him across every fence on the last circuit,. He just kept the revs up and it was a brilliant performance.

The plan was to make it, but of course he has the issues with the start. We wanted to make the running and he was foot perfect everywhere. Danny was fantastic on him, when he jumped the third last he eased off and let him fill up, but to be honest I was worried he might get done for a turn of foot. Danny was cool though and knew what he was doing. I wasn’t too bad when he was down at the start as I was pretty confident he was going to be OK today, he seems to have matured and he’s behaved himself all the time he’s been here. At Leopardstown (at Christmas) Klassical Dream got a flyer and we didn’t and it made the difference, he was beaten just over two lengths. We didn’t want the same to happen in this race.

It was a huge performance and a smashing ride. It was a big blow for Jonathan, he made the decision himself that he wouldn’t do the horse justice. He suggested Danny would be suited to the horse and it was all down to Jonny’s instructions. Hats off to Johnny, he’s so unselfish — he thought he wouldn’t do the horse justice, so I’m very grateful. He actually sat on him.

It wasn’t the plan to make the running. He has his own ideas about things and can force his way to the front. In fairness he relaxed lovely when he got there and jumped away brilliant. He got a freebie, got to fill him up everywhere and was able to do his own thing from the front. He won too far from a handicapping point of view but it’s great to win a pot like that. He’s definitely better going left-handed as well. The handicapper is going to have his say now. I don’t know where he’ll go from here but considering he only cost five grand he’s more than paid for himself!. He will go chasing but probably not until next year.

the step up in trip and the tongue-tie helped him and he was good. Johnny (Moore) said he was just a bit ignorant at those (padded) hurdles but he got around and there's a race for him at Navan in a few weeks. He is improving and while he didn't jump well early, he came into it well and got it done so all good.

After race at Bellewstown Thu, 29th Aug, 2019 (1st)
He was one of the highest rated in the field so he was entitled to make the frame anyway,. I thought they went very hard. He was last going past with a circuit to run and he was struggling to lie up. It just kind of fell his way as they went too hard and he outstayed them. They weren't a great bunch so we won't be getting too excited but it's great to win.
