He has only one gear and you couldn't go fast enough on him. We didn't make enough use of him the last day but you have to stretch the field with him and he needs to go flat out,. He'll have a break now and will go to Galway, where he has won in the past. I'm delighted for (owner) Sean (Gallagher) who is a great patron of mine.

He hadn't run in nine months and I honestly thought the ground was going to be a shade quick,. We were hoping to get him back for the November Handicap . that was the race we were sort of aiming at. He's been working well at home. I thought I had left him a little bit short but he ran a blinder there. He had a nice light weight on his back which was a big help. I'm a little shocked as I did think he needed the run, so I'm delighted. He'll go hurdling when he finishes on the Flat.

After race at Leopardstown Sun, 4th Nov, 2012 (1st)
After riding him the last couple of times Ian has really learned how to ride him. He had the race planned out to make it a real test of stamina. He gave him a breather after the bend and he didn't mind if someone came to challenge him. His ride was brilliant and it was excellent the way he judged the pace. For a three pound claimer it was a top class ride. He is a tough hose who loves a battle and that is what he got today. It is not good for the heart! . He might go to Haydock now in a few weeks' time for a good 4yo hurdle there. After that we have won three Premier Handicaps this season and over €200,000 in prize money. I thought we had an average bunch of horses at the beginning of the season but it is brilliant for a small yard like ours.

he was dropping down in grade and I knew he would be competitive today; he won a good novice hurdle at Galway and he is much lower rated on the flat. He's not the fastest of horses but Ian gave him a great ride. He'll mix it between Flat and hurdles now and he might jump a fence next year. Ian (Brennan) had his first ride around here on John Murphy's winner (Ibsen) so he is 100% around here now! He's a great lad and is off to Dundalk now and then on to York tomorrow to ride Bubbly Bellini for us. He's also at Wolverhampton tomorrow night to ride Golan Heights for us!

He's game . he's the first 4yo to win this since 2005. He was very game really as he was the first off the bridle, though in fairness he was getting all the allowances. David is a very good lad to ride, he has a good eye from his show-jumping days.

was a bit keen and got tired. On the other hand Face Value got stronger as the race developed and he chased down Hollymount King to score by two lengths in the end under Davy Condon.
