We fancied our chances today. He got a bad fall (brought down) in Down Royal and it set him back a wee bit. After that it just took him a couple of runs for the penny to drop again, but we gave him a break and he's bounced back today. He's a good genuine horse. Two and a half (miles) probably suits him better than today's trip, but he has a bit of class. Oran works with me every day and is a classy wee rider. He'll go to Galway for the 0-116 opportunity handicap hurdle on the Sunday.

Myself, my daughter Mia and a friend Tiernan McCusker left home at 5am and it took seven hours to travel down. I had fed the horse at 4am and while it was a long journey, it was worthwhile! We stopped for tea and half-hour breaks. We were a bit unsure whether he'd handle the ground or not but he obviously did. He travelled well the whole way and jumps for fun. He keeps improving and we train him from the field as he gave us a lot of problems in the stable. He has turned inside out. He is entered for Clonmel on Thursday and we might put wee Oran McGill back up on him as he was away on holidays in Spain this week.

A lovely stamp of a horse. He gave us a lot of trouble earlier on in life but he has grown up a wee bit now, he's a fine type of a horse. We might step him up in trip a bit. Bar McBurney's horse (Invictus World) and JP's horse (Realism), it wouldn't be the strongest race in the world. The horse that was fancied (Wee Charlie) was pulled out earlier today. He came there travelling and he won it alright. He was second here on Boxing Day, he seems to like this course. I'd say he wants a wee bit of cut in the ground - if the rain hadn't come, we probably wouldn't have run him.
