Brian is a great chase jockey and comes into his own over fences. I'm very happy to put him up. He's a very brave horse and it was a brave ride and the horse just keeps producing. We're very happy to get another winner for Susannah Ricci. That's eight wins from 16 runs for the horse and Brian (Hayes) thought he didn't stay in the Irish National and the better ground was a huge help to him today. hopefully we can get owners back and then after that crowds back to inject a lot of atmosphere that is missing at the moment. We've had a fantastic festival, it's great to have the support of the owners that we have and without them none of us could keep going at Closutton. They are the whole part of the team really with the investment they put in every year.

he continually surprises us as he doesn't do an awful lot at home but he has a fantastic pedigree and is by Presenting. Brian deserves a lot of credit because he got the horse jumping spectacularly well in front. Brian won a beginners chase on him at Tipperary and that's what got him on him today and he is a very under-rated jockey. He comes in two or three work morning a week to us. I don't where we go now but obviously to all those Grade 2 or Grade 1 chases. He hadn't been an easy horse to train in his early career and didn't run until he was six. He is more mature now and is taking his training better.

He's a big horse and might have needed it (when beaten by Robin De Carlow last time),. He was straightforward there - he made the running and stayed galloping - you couldn't fault him.

All credit to Brian as none of our usual jockeys were sticking their hands up to ride him as his schooling hasn't been fantastic and he is keen and he hangs. Brian deserves huge credit and rides out in our yard every week. He has a big engine but hasn't been easy to train and isn't easy on himself. He is awkward but Brian got him into a good rhythm. We'll step him up now and the way he travelled he could come back in trip. We'll find a novice chase for him now.

He is made for chasing and we had to wait three years for him to run so he's paying that back now in spades. He was quite keen today but in bumpers he has had to be 'on his head' so we'll try to teach him to settle now over a trip. He'll stay hurdling this year but chasing is going to be his game and in a better race going faster, he'll jump better. Rich's son George named him after the wrestler 'The Rock' (Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who had a famous Brahma Bull tattoo).

I was surprised how well he handled that ground. He’s a horse that doesn’t work well at home and is obviously one of those that likes the track better. It looks like he could be a good staying prospect and we will go over hurdles with him now. Patrick said he was just a different horse today. Down at the start he was very fresh and free, and wanted to get on with the job. Maybe the penny has just dropped with him.

We've been three years waiting so well done to Rich (winning owner Rich Ricci),.
