In the absence of Moon Over Germany (change in going), Willie Mullins was left with an even stronger hand in the John J. Galvin & Sons Novice Chase and he duly recorded a one-two as Brahma Bull (5/2) turned around previous course form with the mare Robin De Carlow (4/7 fav).

The David Mullins-ridden winner had been beaten by six lengths by his stable companion here at the July meeting, but on 4lbs better terms and over a slightly shorter trip he made all and stayed on to defeat her by three lengths on this occasion.

The Presenting gelding has a pretty impressive strike-rate, with this being a sixth career win from just nine starts. Westland Row (7/1), winner of his previous three starts, couldn’t land a blow this time and was a further fifteen lengths back in third.

"He's a big horse and might have needed it (when beaten by Robin De Carlow last time)," said winning rider David Mullins.

“He was straightforward there - he made the running and stayed galloping - you couldn't fault him."
