The Stewards interviewed Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Nancy Wyse, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr J.C. Barry stated that his mount was lugging out in the last one and a half furlongs and he was trying to keep his mount straight. He admitted that he had misjudged how many times he had used his whip in the latter stages. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.C. Barry was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr J.C. Barry for two racedays

Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Colemanstown Lad trained by Martin Brassil, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount raced very free throughout this race

Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of Grove Cottage trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount hung right throughout this race
