She was unlucky the last day to run into Mousey Brown who was well in and won well again since. . The plan was she had a light weight and to make use of it. When she gets to the front and gets into a rhythm like that,she’s hard to peg back. She’s a good, tough, solid mare. . She lost her way a little bit over the winter. I was delighted with that and Rachael Blackmore gave him a super ride. John (Byrne, owner) is here as well as and Hugh Bleahen, who we bought him from, so we're getting a real follow up service. I was a bit concerned about the ground but he handled it well. He looked to be running very well the last day but I'd say I was getting the ground wrong, to be fair to him. He came back a bit sore so we said we'd try him with a bit more ease. This looked a very suitable race conditions-wise and while he's been in a while, we'll definitely look for something else in the next few weeks.

To be honest, it was a low-grade beginners' for horses rated 102 or less. It wasn't a strong race. I thought he would have needed his last run, he had a good blow. I thought if he came on from that, he would be very competitive today. Delighted he won and I'm delighted for Paddy Hanlon as I thought he gave him a great ride. That's three winners in three days, the horses are flying. This horse seems to be improving with me but he has to have a bit of nice ground,. Over the last couple of days we are getting better weather and my horses are running well again. When the ground went soft I didn't even enter horses. It's great for his owner Seamus Tobin, he is a good owner of mine for the last few years. He is not entered up anywhere, so we'll see. He has been placed so many days and he deserved that. It's his second win and he has been pretty consistent, he is a great little horse. He was down the bottom of the handicap and we took seven off with Conor's claim. It's great for Conor, that's his third winner and he is improving away. He probably wants another year of experience under his belt to really get going. He is definitely on the up. That's 41 winners now and it's my best season to date. It was lovely to hit the 40 winners mark the other day. I've been fifth in the trainers table nearly all year and while behind me is something like 18, I'm still miles behind the first four. I'm only 15 minutes away from the track and while I've won at a lot of racecourses, Killarney has been a bogey for me and that's my first winner here. The pressure is always on to have a winner in Killarney and I've been trying for a few years so this is great. He was in good order and we were lucky with him on his last couple of runs. Michael did everything super and he said his only worry was the loose horse. I got him recently to train and Listowel will be our next outing. I train eight horses, we might have one runner tomorrow but he is first reserve.
