.He was a course winner over ten furlongs as a three-year-old and he seems to like the place,. The danger looked the top-weight and he didn't seem to run his race which made things easier. He might go for a hurdle in Killarney. There is a two-and-a-half mile winners hurdles on the Monday and he'll also get an entry for the handicap there.

He was 5lb better off with the Gigginstown horse (Midnight Game) than he would be in a handicap and it was then a case of how many stars turned up. If 1,000 turned up we had no chance and if 700 turned up we had a sporting chance. Perhaps 700 turned up!. He stood on a piece of steel about 18 months ago and it went up into his hoof and we couldn't get him sound. We took him for a CAT scan which would be unusual for horses and we were told there would be a ten percent chance he would ever be sound. So it's marvellous that he's come back sound and well. My farrier has to take a lot of credit and the boys at home have also done a great job with him.

I'm considering running him on Thursday (in a Grade 3 at Punchestown) as there is nothing else for him for a while. We will see where he will go after that. He was keen early on when another horse came alongside him. It was a very well run race.

that made up for a series of disappointments and he didn't jump well enough at Fairyhouse the last day. I thought coming here today that if he was in the first four I'd be delighted with him although a few of the others may not have been at their best today. I was thinking of running him in the Fred Winter Hurdle at Cheltenham but he may now go for the Grade 1 race here on Hennessy day in February.

He deserved that and the softer ground is the secret to him. He is entered in the Curragh on Sunday in an apprentice race over a mile and two and he could go there. There is plenty of nice handicaps for him before the end of the season and he'll go hurdling over the winter.
