Permission was given for Alpha King (GB) to go early to post and be mounted on the course.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Alpha King (GB), trained by P.
Charalambous and J.
Clutterbuck, was late being submitted.
Charalambous and Clutterbuck were warned as to their responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
As Alpha King (GB) was in the process of being loaded, the stalls handler triggered the mechanism which opens the stall, causing the gate to open.
Being satisfied that the gelding had not broken out of the stalls, Alpha King (GB) was reloaded.
The Starter reported that Foursome (GB) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 5.

Olly Williams was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The winner, Sir Joseph Swan (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Doncaster on 13 July 2023 where the gelding finished twelfth of fourteen, beaten by 20¼ lengths.
Archie Watson’s explanation that Sir Joseph Swan (GB) had appeared to benefit from being ridden more patiently on this occasion, was noted.
Sir Joseph Swan (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Mr Frederick Tett reported that Alpha King (GB), unplaced, slipped on the bend turning into the home straight.
