The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pilbara (GB), trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Benefit Run trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left
B. Hayes, rider of Pilbara (GB) trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made several jumping errors
The Stewards interviewed C.J. Orr, rider of Bridge Native, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C. J. Orr in breach of regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency. Having considered C
J. Orr's record in this regard the Stewards suspended C. J. Orr for six racedays and ordered him to attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (140 = 11st 10lbs)
