he has his little issues with the stalls and it’s more impatience than anything else. He’s a good horse up here, loves the surface and I don’t think he’s ever run a bad race here. He’s typical of the owner (David Spratt). He restocks at the end of the year and he’s here to be claimed for anyone. Siobhan Rutledge, rider of The Feathered Nest trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount missed the break

The Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of The Feathered Nest, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) in that she had used her whip unnecessarily, after her chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having taken her previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for two racedays and ordered that she attend R.A.C.E for one day's tuition on the correct use of the whip.
